Tait graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production), and is based in Melbourne specialising in set and props construction.
Tait has a keen interest in live theatre and ballet but is also looking to expand her knowledge in the film and television industry.
Tait loves exploring storytelling through props, sets, and scenic art. With a background as a mechanist, she loves being involved in a production from start to finish. Her credits include Head of Staging for 'Heathers the Musical' (VCA), Mechanist on 'Don Quixote' (The Australian Ballet), Workshop Assistant for 'First Love is the Revolution' (VCA), and Costume Manager on 'Inconsolable plus 4' (VCA).


Hi, I'm Yihui. I'm an ENFJ graphic designer with a passion for exploring various art styles. I excel at and have a strong affinity for collage as a means of artistic expression. I possess a keen eye for color coordination and composition.
My artistic journey began with the study of oil painting from a young age, and I have since developed a deep appreciation for photography and graphic design. My personality is characterized by creativity and a love for beauty, which influences my preference for natural landscapes as subjects in my oil paintings. Additionally, I draw inspiration from pain, adding a unique and versatile dimension to my work.


Sarah is an emerging Production Designer working in Melbourne. She is passionate about storytelling and creating immersive spaces on film.
She is a graduate of Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of South Australia (2019) and Master of Production Design from the Victorian College of Arts (2023). During her Masters, Sarah has had the opportunity to design a number of student films as well interning on upcoming feature films, 'Addition', 'Jones Family Christmas', and 'Inside'.
With a strong work ethic and positive attitude, Sarah is eager to expand her knowledge and experiences as a designer.


Rachel brings a combination of organisational, academic, and technical skills to her practice and hopes to continue expanding her management skillset in a variety of genres.
Whilst studying at the Victorian College of the Arts, Rachel’s academic credits included being Production Stage Manager of 'Sweet Charity', Stage Manager of 'Cloud 9', Deputy Stage Manager of 'Sight Unseen', and Assistant Stage Manager of 'Snore' and 'Mirror Mirror'.
Her technical experience further encompasses being Lighting Programmer of 'Our House', as well as her work with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Melbourne Recital Centre.
Rachel is the grateful recipient of the Grace Marion Wilson Trust 2021.


Max is an English born set, costume and digital designer/maker, based in Melbourne/Naarm.
Inspired by the use of space, human motivations and technology, Max’s passion for live performance design stems from its connection to our lives in the modern world and a drive of world building. Theatre and music theatre lit his passion for live performance which combined with his love of storytelling, architecture, design and creating to drive his work.
With a technical and methodical approach to his practice, Max is excited to explore the post-pandemic industry and the multitude of stories that will emerge from the challenges and successes of the past few years.


XaSha Chua-Huggins is set and costume designer/maker who intends to create escapist outlets. She is eager to provide opportunities for audiences to periodically observe and exist within alternate realities.
XaSha’s credits while studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) include: Set Designer for 'Sweet Charity' (dir. Jayde Kirchert); Associate Set Designer for 'Cloud Nine' (dir. Maude Davey); Set and Costume Designer for 'Pile of Bones' (chor. Stephanie Lake); Costume Manager for 'pool (no water)' (dir. Leticia Cáceres); Costume Crew for 'Mad Forest' (dir. Sean Mee) and 'Swim Between the Flags' (by the 2019 VCA Theatre Company); Workshop Crew for 'Flora the Red Menace' (dir. Jason Langley) and 'Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights' (dir. Alyson Campbell).
Devoted to generating moments to dream, XaSha aspires to create unique worlds for all forms of entertainment.


Tessa is an emerging costume designer and maker that has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Tessa utilises her background in technical costume construction to design unique and intriguing costume pieces that complement both artistic direction and the human form. During her time at the VCA she has held a multitude of roles, most notably Co-Set Designer for '10 degrees', Costume Assistant for 'Our House', and Costume Designer for 'Sweet Charity'.
Tessa has a keen interest in sustainability and hopes to create thoughtful garments that employ recycling and ethical sourcing.


James is an emerging industry professional with experience working in technical, creative and management roles, specialising in stage management. Notable credits at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) include Deputy Stage Manager on 'The Hello Girls' and Assistant Stage Manager for 'On the Town'.
His passion for “behind-the-scenes” emerged at a young age. James freelanced in digital media and video editing for several years before avidly pursuing a career in production for live performance.
Professionally, James has worked in a variety of roles across commercial theatre and large-scale events, such as the 2019 Helpmann Awards (Live Performance Australia) and White Night Melbourne (David Atkins Enterprises). He was employed as an Assistant Stage Manager at 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' (Michael Cassel Group) and also completed an internship with 'Come From Away' (Newtheatricals) during his time at VCA.


Originally from Sydney, Holly entered the arts industry as a young performer and was introduced to stage management while completing her Certificate III in Live Production (2017–18), igniting a keen interest in theatre, film, television, and event work.
While studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Holly's credits include Stage Manager for 'Earthquakes in London' and 'Gaban', and Costume Manager for Baccarat.
Holly is interested in all aspects of management and has undertaken internships with Channel 7, Moomba, and La Mama to further her experience and pursue a career assistant directing in film and television, and event management.


Casey completed his undergraduate theatre design training at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2012, before returning to deepen his craft through the Master of Design for Performance.
Theatre highlights include award-winning productions of 'The Leenane Trilogy' (fortyfivedownstairs/Kin Collective) and 'Hart' (SheSaid), alongside designs for Arts Centre Melbourne, St Martins Youth Arts Centre, Dancehouse, Union House Theatre, Riot Stage, Darebin Speakeasy, Theatreworks and La Mama. Casey has designed music videos for artists ranging from Justin Bieber through to The Cat Empire and Something For Kate, and runway sets for Melbourne Fashion Festival and Melbourne Fashion Week.
The 2021 recipient of the Trina Parker Scholarship, Casey has designed VCA productions of Gaban by Brook Andrew and costumes for Promiscuous/Cities by Lachlan Philpott, alongside interning with Richard Roberts and Christina Smith. He assisted Richard Roberts on HMS Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance for State Opera of South Australia.


Sarah is a Melbourne based costume designer with a passion for storytelling. Utilising an eye for detail and a strong sense for aesthetic to create a narrative and promote audience engagement.
Whilst studying the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), her musical productions include working as Costume Designer for 'The Hello Girls' (2021) and Associate Costume Designer for both 'Sweet Charity' (2021) and 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' (2020).
Sarah interned as Costume Assistant with Marion Boyce on the ABC mini-series 'The Newsreader'.


Amelia Hutchinson is an emerging designer whose design career began after graduating with a bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of South Australia in 2018.
The jump to Production Design was led by the desire to push the creative constraints of the literal world and through clever design create environments that evoke emotion and enhance storytelling.
Since studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) she has worked in various roles on an independent television serious and several short films including designing, 'Starlings of the Hyperreal' (2021).
Amelia enjoys creative collaborations in all areas of the Art Department and is passionate about drafting and set design and always looking to grow her creative thinking.


Jessica Johnston is a costume and set designer with a particular interest in film and television productions. Having previously attended the Australian Ballet School and completing a short course in 3D animation, Jessica moved to work within theatre production, which allowed her more collaborative and creative expression.
During her time at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), she has worked within the Costume and Set departments and has completed her studies by designing set and costume for Amrita Hepi’s work, 'Here We Have It'.
Jessica has also worked as the Costume Assistant on 'Solace' directed by Stepanka Cervinkova, and ongoing work 'Composure', by Madeleine Chaplain. During her final year at VCA she interned with the art department on the series 'Love Me', directed by Emma Freeman, where she gained experience in set dressing and construction.


Lin is an emerging designer holding a Bachelor degree in Film & TV from Swinburne University and a Master of Production Design (Screen) from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Lin is passionate about graphic design for the art department, and is interested in the ways that graphics can help establish time, place, tone, and believability.
Lin has contributed her skills to numerous student films throughout her studies, and was an art department intern on the ABC TV series The Newsreader.


Miranda graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production), specialising in stage management with interests in musical theatre and dance.
Her notable credits at the VCA include Deputy Stage Manager for Sweet Charity, Assistant Production Manager for Gaban, Assistant Stage Manager for Simulacrum, and Assistant Stage Manager for Mad Forest.
Professionally, Miranda has experience in technical roles across commercial productions with The Australian Ballet and has recently completed internships with The Phantom of the Opera (Opera Australia), Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (Opera Australia), and with The Wedding Singer (David Venn Productions).


Stephanie is a creative, passionate costumier based in Melbourne, graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) with a BFA (Design and Production) specialising in costume construction.
Stephanie is passionate about creating unique, detailed costumes enabling the transformation between performer and character. She enjoys constantly developing her costume making skills and working on a variety of Productions.
Stephanie’s credits at VCA include: Senior Costumier for 'The Hello Girls', 'Here We Have It', 'Wax and Chapter Seven'; Costume Assistant on 'Return to Normal' (chor. Antony Hamilton) and several other VCA Dance productions of 2020; Costume Manager for 'The Cripple of Inishmaan' (dir. Georgina Naidu) and Assistant Costume Manager and Dresser for 'On the Town' (dir. Adam Mitchell). Outside of VCA, Stephanie has recently completed an internship with 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' (dir. John Tiffany).


With multidisciplinary creative passions, Grace Mallinson has recently completed her studies in Production Design, both undergraduate and graduate, at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Based in regional Victoria, with a love of storytelling at her core, Grace’s skillset in costume, set and graphic design has contributed to many theatrical productions, most recently 'Legally Blonde' (2019, James Terry Collective), and the opera of 'Little Women' for the VCA in 2021.
Her current collaborations include, The Dinosaurs: 65 Million Ways to Say Goodbye, to open as a new work in 2022. Grace was also the recipient of the VCA Director’s Design Award in 2019, for excellence in her graduating year.


As a freelance lighting technician, Seb has worked across Melbourne with many leading performing arts companies, including MTC, The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, and Victorian Opera.
Seb’s technical credits include operating followspot for the Melbourne seasons of 'Chicago' (Gordon Frost Organisation, 2019) and 'The Wedding Singer' (David Venn Enterprises, 2021), in addition to countless crew and season work at Arts Centre Melbourne, Athenaeum Theatre, Palais Theatre and more.
His lighting design credits include 'Marveled: An Original Parody Cabaret' (MICF, 2019) and 'Legally Blonde' (UMMTA, 2019). His academic credits at Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) include Head Electrician for 'Reassemblage', 'NUTI', 'Origami', 'WOW' and '10 degrees', and Technical Manager for 'Sweet Charity'.
Specialising in lighting systems and management, Seb seeks to lead and integrate the team to best realise the lighting design for any given production.


Atoosa is an emerging designer whose passion for storytelling and background in Architecture fuelled her desire to pursue production design. She has a profound interest in creating visually evocative spaces that inspire audiences and leave a lasting impression.
While at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Atoosa has deepened her knowledge of interconnecting story themes and spatial design and learned practical skills including prop making, scenic art and set dressing/buying.
She has also worked on several student films and interned on the Apple TV series 'Shantaram' (2021). Atoosa is looking forward to connections with creative collaborators and to become a key team member within art departments.


Rosemary is a Melbourne-based stage manager with a keen interest in collaborative and movement led processes. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), a Diploma in Dance (Elite Performance) and was the proud recipient of the 2020 Daryl Wilkinson Encouragement Award.
Throughout her studies at the VCA Rosemary has held diverse management roles, developing a passion for fostering sustainable and actively inclusive workspaces.
Rosemary’s VCA credits include: Stage Manager on '10 degrees'; Assistant Stage Manager on 'pool (no water)' (dir. Leticia Cáceres) and 'Swim Between the Flags'. She also worked across multiple devised theatre productions as Assistant Production Manager and Head Electrician. In 2021 Rosemary completed internships with Malthouse Theatre on Because the Night and Michael Cassel Group’s 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'.


Silvia Shao, interested in conceptual and abstract works, considers herself as a creative-work lover. She believes there is no boundary on what she can do, either as a ‘designer’, or as a ‘human’, an ideology carrier. Although specifically trained as a set and costume designer, she loves working closely with lighting and sound.
During her time at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), she has developed her interests in architecture, graphic design, and contemporary dance. She has designed costumes for VCA contemporary dance piece, MENTAL, choreographed by Carol Brown, and interned with Eugyeene Teh and Andrew Bailey.


Ikshvak is an emerging lighting designer and technician based in Naarm (Melbourne), and a graduate of the BFA (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Ikshvak’s 2021 VCA Lighting Design credits include three new dance works by Danielle Micich, Amrita Hepi and Daniel Riley, forming 'Atlas | gadhaba kurrawan', and 'Gaban', a new First Nations theatre work. Ikshvak also designed 'Return to Normal' and 'Sight Unseen', choreographed by Antony Hamilton and Linda Sastradipradja respectively, in 2020. He was also the Associate Lighting Designer and Programmer for VCA Acting’s 'pool (no water)'.
Outside of the VCA, Ikshvak works extensively in the technical lighting sector with leading arts organisations such as MTC, Dancehouse, La Mama, Theatreworks, Melbourne Fringe and Midsumma Festival.


Sammy is an enthusiastic and optimistic stage manager who is passionate about supporting all aspects of live performance and events/festivals. Her credits at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) include Stage Manager on devised work 'B**CH', Orchestra Manager on 'The Hello Girls', Assistant Stage Manager on 'The World That Was' and 'Flora the Red Menace', and Costume Assistant on 'Our House'.
Sammy completed her stage management internships at The Playground in association with City of Melbourne and Kelly Harrington Consulting, and 'Animal Farm' with The Bloomshed.
She is looking forward to working in live performance and public events.


Sasha is a Naarm (Melbourne) based artist graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2021. Sasha has a high-octane enthusiasm for both making and design, with credits spanning film and television, music videos and live performance.
Notable projects include 'Supalonely' (for BENEE), 'The Newsreader' (ABC) and 'New Weather' (VCA). In their time at VCA Sasha set designed devised work 'The World that Was' and costume designed the theatre production of 'Cloud 9'.
Sasha has built costumes and sets for a number of productions at VCA, with a particular passion and proficiency for scenic art, moulding and casting, metalworking and carpentry.


Olivia is a passionate stage manager, and an alumna of the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production). She is interested in arts management that meaningfully engages audiences with performance and cultural activities, to foster community development and involvement. She works to support artists and companies to produce works in a collaborative, safe and considered way.
Olivia’s stage management credits from the VCA include 'The Hello Girls' (dir. Jason Langley), 'Here We Have It' (chor. Amrita Hepi), 'The Winter’s Tale' (dir. Petra Kalive), 'Pile of Bones' (chor. Stephanie Lake), and 'Our House' (dir. Tyran Parke). During her studies, Olivia undertook internship placements with The Australian Ballet’s 40th Anniversary Regional Tour, and 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'.
Olivia was the grateful recipient of the Agnes Robertson Undergraduate Entry Scholarship in 2019.


Robert Watson is a Melbourne-based designer and maker. He recently completed his final year at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), specialising in set design. In 2021, he interned on the Malthouse Theatre production Because the Night. Robert is passionate as both a maker and designer for both live performance and film and television.
Roberts recent credits include: Head of Workshop for VCA productions 'The Spook', 'Sweet Charity', 'B**CH', 'Dead Serious', 'Rats on Cocaine Prefer Jazz' and 'Atlas | gadhaba kurrawa'n; Co-Set Designer for '10 degrees' (VCA); set construction for 'The Cane' (Red Stitch Actors' Theatre); Associate Set Designer/Set Construction for 'Our House' (VCA), 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' (VCA), and Set Dresser for 'Maddy Jane – Perfection’s a Thing and You’re It' (Majella Productions).


Oli is an emerging performance maker, specialising in set and costume design. Originally hailing from Tarntanya (Adelaide), he is now based in Naarm (Melbourne), where he completed his training at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Oli is a proudly queer identifying artist, and this informs his mission to find beauty in the imperfect, unrefined and unwanted. This translates into bold, detailed designs, often with a nod to camp and a touch of humour, but always with a commitment to deep dramaturgy and world building.
Oli completed his professional debut, designing costumes for S/WORDS (Lewis Major Projects/Adelaide Festival of Art). At the VCA Oli designed costumes for a new interdisciplinary dance work entitled '10 degrees', and designed the set for 'The Spook' by Mellissa Reeves (dir. Daniella Farinaci). Having also undertaken a secondment in the Art Department for upcoming television series Literary 'Lethargy' (Baby Banksia Productions), Oli looks forward to continuing his work in both the live performance and filmic spaces.


Sidney is an emerging lighting designer based in Melbourne, and a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
His VCA design credits include 'The Spook' (Director Daniela Farinacci), 'The Hello Girls' (Dir. Jason Langley) and 'The Cripple of Inishmaan' (Dir. Georgina Naidu). Earlier this year his coursework efforts were recognised with the Cassidy Bequest Scholarship for Production.
Outside of the VCA, Sidney enjoys working within the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) and Orchestra Victoria’s operations teams. He designed 'Synaesthesia', a collaboration between the MSO and Vue De Monde, premiering at the 2021 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
In the future, Sidney intends to further pursue architectural lighting design as part of his practice, after gaining experience within this genre during his internships with Jackson Stigwood (A Billion Suns) and John Ford (Relume Consulting) in 2021.


Renata is a Melbourne-based lighting technician.
She has worked on a range of productions at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), including as Technical Manager/Head Electrician for the 2021 devised works 'B**CH', 'Dead Serious' and 'Rats on Cocaine Prefer Jazz', and Head Electrician on 'The Hello Girls', 'pool (no water)' and 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood'.
Renata has continued to expand her expertise as Head Electrician and Lighting Programmer on 'The Book of Everything' (Geelong Repertory Theatre Company, 2019).
She is currently pursuing opportunities in the entertainment and live events industries.


Yunfan is a stage designer, graphic designer and jewellery designer who has studied fine arts skills since childhood. She studied performance design in Shanghai and Hong Kong, China and later worked as a visual designer at the Shanghai Opera House.
She completed a Master of Design for Production (Stage) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), designing costumes and set for the opera 'The Coronation of Poppea' during her studies in 2021.
Previous credits include 'The Xiucai' and 'The Executioner' (Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, 2012). Her design project for 'Sweeney Todd' was also selected for the 10th China Arts Festival (2013).


Holly is a stage manager and production manager with a passion for creating healthy collaborative work environments.
Whilst at Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), they have worked across the costume and stage management departments. Their VCA credits include 'Swim Between the Flags' (devised by Theatre Company 2019), 'The Skin of Our Teeth' (2018, dir. Dean Bryant), 'The Drowsy Chaperone' (2017, dir. Alister Smith), and Stage Manager for the original Australian work 'The Will to Be' (dir. Mark Salvestro) for the 2019 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Holly is a passionate creator with a love for new works and independent theatre. Holly toured nationally with the HVK Production Bluey's Big Play (2020/2021, directed by Rosemary Myers) in the role of ASM.


Danillo Arantes is a production designer and creative director with work and study experiences in Brazil, Canada and Australia. Danillo started his career in 2014 and has since worked in creative agencies, production companies and within the art department on feature films and television series. He found in production design the perfect combination between his passions: spatial design, storytelling and visual communication.
Danillo also holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Brasília, with one year in the Bachelor of Environmental Design of the Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto.


Amelia has been heavily involved in the arts from a young age. Her passion developed from dancing, singing, playing instruments and acting.
Throughout her time at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Amelia has worked in different management roles across multiple streams. Her credits at the VCA include Stage Manager on 'Earthquakes in London' (2021), Stage Manager on 'NUTI' and 'WOW' (2020), Stage Manager on 'Snore' (2019), Deputy Stage Manager on 'MTAFU' (2019), Assistant Stage Manager on 'Body' (2019), 'Fefu and Her Friends' (2018) and 'A Chorus Line' (2018).
She completed an internship on AsiaTOPA with Arts Centre Melbourne. Amelia is looking forward to being involved in theatre and events after leaving the VCA.


Dominic is a set and costume designer and maker who completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
He is interested in the creation of worlds that challenge the perceptions of audiences and prompt performers to rethink their ideas of a production. During his time at the VCA, Dominic has held varying roles across productions including Set and Props Designer on 'The Cripple of Inishmaa'n (2020), Costume and Set Designer/Maker on 'Sight Unseen' (2020), Associate Costume Designer on 'DFLTLX' (2019) and Workshop Leading Hand on 'Snore' (2019) and 'Swim Between the Flags' (2019).
Dominic has previously completed a Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services (Costume for Performance) from Melbourne Polytechnic and has had the opportunity to work with companies including The Australian Ballet, National Institute of Circus Arts and MOOMBA.


Emily has been involved in the performing arts since a young age, beginning onstage then moving into stage management in 2012. She holds a Diploma in Music Performance (Voice) from JMC Academy and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) in stage management from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
At the VCA, Emily was Deputy Stage Manager on 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' (2020), Orchestra Manager for 'Our House' (2020), Stage Manager for 'Ghostlight' (2020) and 'Measure for Measure' (2019), and was Assistant Stage Manager on 'Peter Pan' (2018).
Professionally, her stage management experience includes 'Hamlet' for Australian Shakespeare Company (2019 - 2020), Mental as Anything (2019), 'Zoo Twilights', Daryl Braithwaite and Ross Wilson (2019), and The Models (2018-2019).


Alfonso is an emerging production designer based in Australia. He has a Master's Degree in Production Design for Screen from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Screen) Degree from Flinders University.
Alfonso blended his passion for story telling with his love for visual art. His shift into design enabled him to refine his creative process, initiating a more in depth approach to story telling. He loves character driven films and films that put a lens on interpersonal relationships and the human condition. During his time at VCA; He was a set design intern for the upcoming Netflix show 'Click Bait', and an art department intern on the ABC Series, 'The Newsreader'. Alfonso also works in Fashion; he was previously a Creative Producer for Manila based fashion brand, 'Carl Jan Cruz'‚ for two collections in Paris during Paris Fashion Week in 2017 and 2018.


Eden Cotter-Longworth graduated from the Victorian College of Arts (VCA) in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) specialising in stage management.
Her academic credits at the VCA include 'Our House' (Production Stage Manager), 'Origami' (Production Stage Manager), 'Mirror Mirror' (Stage Manager), and 'Into the Woods' (Assistant Stage Manager).

Emily is an emerging freelancer and passionate costumier based in Melbourne, Victoria.
During her final year at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) she held the position of Senior Costumier for 'pool (no water)', 'Earthquakes in London', 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood', and six different dance productions. Outside of the VCA, Emily has completed a tailoring internship for 'Hamilton' (Sydney) and an additional internship with Kate Aubrey Design and Textiles (New York).
Some of her past credits include costumier for 'The Planet – A Lament' (Arts Centre Melbourne, AsiaTOPA, 2020) and as a designer/costumier for 'Wild Swans' (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, E.motion21 and Circa, 2020).
In 2019, Emily had the opportunity to work on 'Unwoman' (The Rabble) – winner of two Green Room Awards.


Kit is lighting technician and designer based in Melbourne. Her production practice is geared towards theatre as a form of emotional catharsis and as a way of commentating on our current social climate.
Credits at VCA include Head Electrician for 'Swim Between the Flags' (2019) and Deputy Head Electrician for dance productions 'Nuti', 'Origami, 'Pile of Bones', 'Return to Normal', 'Sight Unseen', 'Surge' and 'WOW' (2020).
While Kit focuses on working in a technical capacity, she took the role of Lighting Designer for 'Unsuckle', directed by Isabella Vadiveloo, as part of La Mama's season (2020). Other credits include Lighting Programmer and crew for Salvador Dinosaur and MILKE's 'The Anniversary' and Programmer for 'The Cane' at Redstitch.


Sophie is a set and costume designer whom completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Sophie is determined, as an emerging artist, to find new ways of creating environmentally sustainable and ethical work - exploring the relationship and potential between creativity, science, diversity and its translation into physical space. Her practice is multi-faceted with interest and experience also in scenic art, set/prop making and spatial and installation design.
Sophie has held various notable roles across productions at the VCA including Costume Designer on 'Earthquakes in London' (2021), Set Designer on 'pool (no water)' (2020), Associate Set Designer on 'Snore' (2019), Head Scenic Artist on 'Swim Between the Flags' (2019) and Assistant Costume Maker on 'Body' (2018).
Sophie was the recipient of the Cassidy Bequest Scholarship for Production in 2019 and commenced Honours in Social Practice and Community Engagement in 2021.


After completing a bachelor degree in architectural design at the University of Western Australia, Sam relocated to Melbourne in 2019 to commence studies in a Master of Design for Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts with a focus on set and lighting design.

Angus is a Melbourne-based creative designer who is inspired by history, queer movements, popular culture and couture. Aesthetically, they challenge the idea of masculine and feminine, and provide a perspective on all shades of the spectrum.
Whilst studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Angus’s credits include Assistant Stage Manager for 'The Crucible' (2018), Wig Design and Costume Construction for 'Into the Woods' (2018), Costume Manager for 'Snore' (2019) and 'Mirror Mirror' (2019), Costume Crew for Body (2019), Costume Design and Wig Design for 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' (2020) and 'The World That Was' (2020).


Aedan Gale is an emerging lighting designer currently based in Melbourne, Australia. He completed his studies in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production), at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2020.
Aedan’s design work at the VCA includes Acting Company 2020's production of 'pool (no water)' (dir. Leticia Cáceres) and 'Earthquakes in London' (dir. Sarah Goodes), as well as several short contemporary dance works by renowned choreographers such as Anouk van Dijk, Stephanie Lake, and Larissa McGowan.


Before studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Lorena completed a Master of Architecture in Melbourne and Switzerland, working locally and internationally as a designer. Her interest in screen design stems from a desire to explore interconnections between architecture and film. Inspired by stories that question space, identity and memory, she aspires to enhance the visual experience through design.
As an emerging production designer, Lorena has worked on several student film productions at the VCA. With a keen interest in set dressing and set design, she looks forward to becoming an integral member of art departments in the future.


Wei is a production designer based in Melbourne, Australia. He is a graduate of Victorian College of the Arts with a Master of Production Design for Screen, and a previous graduate of Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours) from University of New South Wales.
Wei considers great production design creates mood and evokes strong emotions for the audience in support of the storytelling. Whilst at the Victorian College of the Arts Wei's credits include production designer for 'All We Have Is Time' and 'The Underpass', set dresser for 'Something Has Died In the Forest', and prop master for 'Rebirth'.


Rohanna Hadlow is a Melbourne based costume maker who has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Having had a keen interest in sewing from a young age, Rohanna has spent the last few years honing her skills in making for performance and producing high quality work. Rohanna has worked with The Rabble on 'Unwoman' (2019), and as both Senior Costumier and Costume Manager on many VCA productions. She has created costumes for drag performers and has completed a tailoring internship on 'Hamilton' with Melbourne Costume Tailors.


Samantha is a Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) 2020 Graduate.
Sam found her passion for Design and Production through her experience of theatre, visual arts and design throughout high school. During her time at the VCA, Sam has furthered her love for costume design tailoring her learning to focus on this area of theatrical design.
Sam's specialities include costume design, costume management and basic construction. She is described by her peers and lecturers as well organised, detail orientated and an exceptional collaborative worker. Whilst studying at the VCA, Sam’s credits include Set and Costume Design Assistant and Costume Manager for 'Flora the Red Menace' (2019), Costume Designer for Anouk van Dijk’s contemporary dance piece 'Surge' (2020) and Costume Designer for the musical 'Our House' directed by Tyran Parke.


Tom is an emerging designer with a deep passion for building imaginative worlds on screen and a commitment to sustainable design. He holds a Bachelor of Film and Screen Media Production from Griffith University, and a Master of Production Design for Screen from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
During his time at the VCA, Tom has garnered many useful and practical skills, including prop and model making, set dressing/buying and scenic art. He has worked on feature films 'The Whistleblower' (2019), 'Black Site' (2021) and has extensive experience working on short films.


Mads is a maker who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Originally from Townsville, Mads trained as a Workshop Assistant with TheatreiNQ where she learnt fabrication techniques in response to environmentally sustainable designs, influencing her particular interest in Ecoscenography.
At the VCA, Mads remained rooted in her technical practice. Her credits as Workshop Manager include: 'Our House' (2020), the devised theatre works 'Baccarat' and 'The World That Was' (2020), 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' (2020), 'Swim Between the Flags' (2019), 'Mad Forest' (2019), 'On the Town' (2019), 'Mirror Mirror' (2019) and 'Snore' (2019).
Sculpture and puppetry have become the focal points of Mads' creative practice. Her sculptural work, Rainbow Sammy, was created as part of her graduating technical project and funded by the Cassidy Bequest Scholarship (2020).


Dominic is an arts administrator with credits in musical theatre, corporate events and orchestral performance. He was the production intern with Michael Cassel Group on the Australian premier of 'Hamilton'. Through his work at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Dominic has assisted in the production of works such as the 2020 Sidney Myer Free Concerts and the regular Jams for Juniors program in both 2019 and 2020.
His Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) credits include Stage Manager for 'The Cripple of Inishmaan' (2020), Assistant Production Manager for multiple devised theatre works, Deputy Stage Manager for 'Flora the Red Menace' (2019), Orchestra Manager for 'On the Town' (2019), and Stage Manager for 'Gravitate' (2019).


Trained as a costumier, Karine has made costumes for the Melbourne Theatre Company and The Australian Ballet. An avid reader, she believes in the power of costumes and scenography to give life and renewed perspectives to storytelling.
Some of her credits include Costume Design for 'Project F' with Prue Lang. Within the Victorian College of the Arts, Karine developed the set and costume design for 'Nothing', and the costume design for 'Pool (no water)'. Karine is the recipient of the Portland House Theatre Outreach Program, and the Trina Parker and Jim Marks Postgraduate scholarships.


Olivia McKenna is an audio designer and artist, originally from Sydney and now based in Melbourne. She is interested in working across all aspects of performance, installation and visual arts at any developmental stage.
Olivia is interested in the adaptation of traditional theatre techniques and pieces to meet the expectations of modern audiences and the psychological impact of sound in performance by manipulating the everyday.
She has worked as an audio designer for the Victorian College of the Arts productions of 'pool (no water)' (dir. Leticia Cáceres) and 'Earthquakes in London' (directed by Sarah Goodes).
Her other professional credits include audio designer for 'Hedda GablerGablerGabler' (dir. Mary Angley) and 'The Campaign' (dir. Peter Blackburn).


Elizabeth has a specific interest in costume design and construction. She has developed her artistic style by travelling to Indonesia to participate in a mask making master class in 2020, and attended the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space in 2019.
During her time at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Elizabeth has worked in a variety of roles including Leading Workshop Hand on 'Disclosure' for the Graduate Dance Season (2019), 'Four Directions' (2019), and 'Mirror Mirror' (2019), Costume Manager on 'Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights' (2019), and Assistant Costume Maker on 'F+++ing A' (2019) and 'Children of Saturn' (2018).


Madeline has always sewn, knitted, crocheted, painted, or learnt whatever skills were required to realise her creative visions. Whilst studying fine arts at the Victoria College of the Arts (VCA), she became intrigued with creating elements of visual storytelling as evidence for the audience to discover.
Credits include co-design of the Prague Quadrennial 2019 Australian Student Exhibition, costumes on La Mama’s 2018 'Hotel Bonegilla', costumes on the 2021 short film 'Encounter' (dir. Arctic Qu), and set and costume design and construction for Salty Theatre’s 2021 productions of 'Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts Musical Parody' and the debut of an original Australian musical, 'Paper Stars'.


Tom O’Sullivan is a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) course specialising in stage and costume management at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
His VCA credits include Production Stage Manager on The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2020) , Costume Manager on Earthquakes in London (2021), Assistant Stage Manager on 'Flora the Red Menace' (2019), 'Swim Between the Flags' (2019) and Assistant Costume Manager on 'August: Osage County' (2018). Tom has design experience having costume designed UMMTA’s 'Legally Blonde' (2019) and lighting designed 'Parade' (2019).
Tom has worked on the Helpmann Awards (2019), White Night Melbourne (2019) and Port Fairy Folk Festival (2018/19). Tom is interested in the performing arts, film and television, and events industries.


Oliver Pool specialises in technical lighting and strives to combine cutting edge lighting technology with technical methodologies to create exceptional lighting solutions for artists and performers.
Oliver has worked on a range of shows while attending the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) with show design credits including 'Wunderschön Stark' choreographed by Michelle Heaven, and 'MTAFU' choreographed by Prue Lang.
His technical credits include Head Electrician and Programmer roles on various shows at the VCA. Oliver continues his passion for performance lighting outside of the VCA, pursuing work opportunities with multiple Australian production companies and has a key interest in specialising in live music events.


Eshwar is a designer from India, who completed studies in Production Design at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). He aims to incorporate empathy, aesthetics and functionality in his designs while bringing a sense of authenticity to his work.
He designed a short film called 'No Man's Land' released in mid-2021. Throughout his studies at the VCA, he has worked on several short films, including 'The Carrot Man' (2019), 'The Idyll' (2019) and 'Mira' (2019), assisting in making props, set dressings and standby props. His goal in the future is to be able to tell good stories that help in bringing a positive change in society.


PJ is a sound graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), who spent his time developing sound systems and putting them onto the VCA stages. Through the VCA, PJ learnt the vastness that shows can reach in terms of complexity. Thus leading his passion into musical theatre and large scale shows.
PJ is looking forward to his future work and intends on working his hardest to provide a system that will suit your event.


Ginny is an all-around creative and aspiring production designer. After first completing a double Bachelor degree in visual art and film and screen studies, she has graduated with a Master of Production Design for Screen at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Her credits to date include 'Solace' (2019) and '...And Behold!' (2019) as a props master and set buyer/dresser respectively.


Brooke is a Stage Manager who recently graduated the Victorian College of the Arts with a BFA (Design and Production in (Design & Production). At the VCA Brooke has worked as both a Stage Manager and Sound Technician on multiple productions, including Stage Manager for 'The World That Was'‚ Deputy Stage Manager for 'Wunderschön Stark', Audio Programmer and Operator for 'Our House' and 'F+++ing A'‚ as well as Assistant Stage Manager for 'Mad Forest'‚ and 'The Skin of Our Teeth'.
Externally her credits include Stage Manager for 'The Hitmen' (Bakers Dozen Theatre Company), 'Grand Gesture' (The People) and 'Jofus and The Whale' (Fish and Twiner Bait Shop), as well as Assistant Stage Manager for both 'The Great Australian Play' (Montague Basement Theatre Company) and 'Punk Rock' (Patalog Theatre Company).
She has also completed an internship with MTC on 'Torch the Place'. Brooke is currently the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Frenetic Theatre.


Merissa is a technical theatre practitioner from Singapore, with a myriad of skills ranging from Stage/Production Management to Lighting/Projection systems and design.
Her works include: Citizen X (Singapore) by The Finger Players (2021), #THEATRE (Singapore) by IN:DEX (2021), SURGE (Melbourne) by Anouk Van Dijk (2020), NAK DARA (Singapore) by P7:1SMA (2020), Shared Fictions (Melbourne) by Jo Lloyd (2019), AMOK>>>>HALT (Vietnam) by VCA/USM (2019), and Guilty Landscapes (Germany) by Singapore International Festival of Arts (2017). Recipient of the National Arts Council (NAC) Scholarship (Singapore) in 2018.
Merissa graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, University of Melbourne. She continuously expands her theatrical knowledge in hopes of becoming a well-rounded production/technical manager.


Emma is a design and production graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), University of Melbourne.
Emma specialises in Stage and Production Management. Her interest in theatre started at a young age, initially drawn towards acting. While studying overseas, this interest turned into a passion for the arts, and she developed an interest in production. Whilst studying, Emma was a part of productions such as 'On the Town', 'F++king A', 'Punk Rock', 'The Cabin' and more.
Emma enjoyed touring Australia as Assistant Stage Manager with HVK Productions’ touring children’s show, Bluey’s Big Play at the conclusion of her study and looks forward to continuing touring throughout her career.


Arielle is a zestful designer who completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2020.
She is determined to make visually engaging designs that entice audiences. In 2020, Arielle designed the set and costumes for dance pieces 'Nuti' and 'Return To Normal' and was the Set Designer for the musical 'Our House'.
At the VCA, Arielle has worked in the set, prop and costume workshops with her credits including 'Four Directions: First and Second Year Works' (2019), 'On the Town' (2019), 'DFLTLX' (2019), 'F+++ing A' (2019) and 'Peter Pan' (2018). In 2020, she was thrilled to intern with designer Christina Smith.


Darcy Wischer is a stage manager with professional qualifications from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and skilled experience working in music theatre, theatre, and contemporary dance.
Darcy’s credits as a Stage Manager whilst at the VCA include 'King John' (dir.Helen Trenos, 2019), 'Surge' (chor. by Anouk van Dijk, 2020), and 'Return to Normal' (chor. Antony Hamilton, 2020). Darcy worked as the Deputy Stage Manager on 'Shared Fictions' (chor. Jo Lloyd, 2019) and 'Our House' (dir. Tyran Parke, 2020).
Darcy completed an internship on 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' and is the proud recipient of the Daryl Wilkinson Encouragement Award 2020


Max is a Melbourne-based stage and production manager who graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
Max has undertaken several roles at the VCA, including Stage Manager for 'pool (no water)' (dir. Leticia Cáceres), Assistant Production Manager for 'Earthquakes in London' (dir. Sarah Goodes), and Stage Manager for 'Hedda GablerGablerGabler' (dir. Mary Angley). Max has worked extensively in Melbourne’s independent theatre sector, stage managing Patrick White Award winning playwright Kim Ho’s 'The Great Australian Play' (dir. Saro Lusty-Cavallari; produced by Montague Basement) and has worked multiple times with award-winning collective Stage Mom.
In 2020, Max co-founded independent company Frenetic Theatre alongside fellow stage manager and frequent collaborator Brooke Simmonds.


Grady is a lighting design graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
At the VCA, his Head Electrician credits include 'Flora the Red Menace', 'Four Directions: First and Second Year Works' and 'Disclosure'. His lighting design credits include the play 'Snore', and musical theatre productions 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood' and 'Our House'.
Outside of the VCA, Grady has worked as Head Electrician at Marriner Group’s Forum Melbourne on a casual basis.
